APEPA

APEPA, the Association of Out-of-Hospital Pediatrics of the Province of Alicante, is a scientific society founded in 1986 to bring together pediatricians working outside hospital settings across the province. It supports professional learning and collaboration, helping its members strengthen their knowledge and share experiences, concerns, and ideas in a friendly community.

The association organizes in-person scientific meetings three or four times a year, with programs covering topics in pediatric care. Recent sessions have addressed pediatric dermatology, gastrointestinal disorders, vaccination and immunization, endocrine disruptors, and the interpretation of pediatric ECGs. APEPA also publishes regular member bulletins and shares health articles and updates on issues affecting children and families, including measles, gastroenteritis, perinatal mortality, childhood obesity, and school meals.

Its activities include training for parents of adolescents, alongside resources and information for members and the wider public. Through its meetings, publications, and educational initiatives, APEPA promotes continuing professional development and the exchange of practical knowledge among pediatricians in Alicante.
