Apex Laps

Apex is a track-mapping and lap-timing app designed for riders who want to understand and improve their performance on circuits. To use a new circuit, simply start riding: Apex maps the track during a training lap and automatically times subsequent laps and sectors. The phone can stay in a backpack, and recording continues with the screen off. For circuits already mapped by other riders, Apex can find nearby tracks and lets riders share mapped circuits.

The app offers tools to compare any two valid laps, including laps from different sessions, with side-by-side ghost playback and a live, sector-by-sector time gap. Riders can review sessions grouped by day, examine best sectors and ideal laps, and replay laps on an interactive 3D track with speed, elevation, distance, and timing information. A track-specific dashboard summarizes consistency, progress, sector gaps, and goals. Apex works offline, saving data on the phone and syncing when a connection is available.
