APIL Action, a non-governmental organization (NGO), is dedicated to promoting local initiatives and driving sustainable development in Burkina Faso. Since its establishment in 1998, APIL has focused on rural development, emphasizing farmer training and empowering local communities to actively participate in the country's progress. APIL's areas of intervention include agro-ecology, literacy and education, women's empowerment, and advocacy.

With 140 literacy centers, APIL has helped 3920 farmers learn to read, write, and calculate in their native language. In terms of agro-ecology, 3400 hectares of cultivable land have been developed, benefiting 2110 producers and recovering 450 hectares lost due to water erosion. The organization also supports women through the financing of 255 socio-economic projects, leading to substantial profits and improved living conditions for households.

Additionally, APIL conducts awareness campaigns, seminars, and trainings on leadership, public speaking, marketing, and accounting, empowering women and promoting their autonomy.
