Apparition Lit is a quarterly speculative fiction brand that specializes in publishing original short stories, poetry, and artwork. They are dedicated to showcasing weird and unclassifiable speculative fiction that encompasses elements of fantasy, sci-fi, horror, and literary genres. Apparition Lit seeks out strange and misshapen stories that pack an emotional punch and feature prose that is both clear and delicious.

They accept submissions that align with their chosen theme for each quarter, which can be expressed through a word, a phrase, or a feeling. In addition to their quarterly issues, Apparition Lit also holds monthly flash fiction contests, where the winning entry is published online. Readers can purchase the magazine's issues on platforms like Amazon and Kobo, and select content from each issue is made available online for free access.

Apparition Lit is committed to creating a more equitable publishing community and welcomes submissions from marginalized writers. They also prioritize working with guest editors from diverse backgrounds to broaden their perspective on storytelling. To support the brand, readers can follow their social media accounts, purchase individual issues, or contribute through their Patreon or PayPal accounts.
