AppleDB is an independent database documenting Apple software and devices. Created by emiyl, the project provides a searchable reference for information about more than 1,900 Apple products and over 18,000 firmware versions. Its Devices section covers the products in the database, while Firmware organizes the recorded software versions.

Visitors can also explore Credits and an iOS Guide, making the site a resource for people looking to learn about Apple devices and their software history. AppleDB invites contributions through its GitHub repository, allowing community members to help expand and maintain the database. The site clearly states that AppleDB is not affiliated with Apple Inc., distinguishing this independent reference project from the company whose products and software it documents.

Overall, AppleDB focuses on collecting and organizing device and firmware information in one place, with supporting sections that help users navigate its records and contribute to the ongoing development of the resource
