About appsicologia.org
The Portuguese Association of Psychology (Associação Portuguesa de Psicologia, or APP) is a nonprofit scientific association founded in 1979. It promotes and disseminates research and initiatives in psychology across Portugal and has become one of the country’s active organizations in this field. Its work brings together scientific communication, professional participation and support for research.
The APP organizes activities including symposia and presents awards recognizing achievement and emerging talent, among them the APP Career Research Award in Psychology, the APP Young Researcher Award in Psychology and the APP–NPS Maria Benedicta Monteiro Award. It also supports specialist activity through its Social Psychology nucleus and develops partnerships and collaborative initiatives.
The association publishes PSICOLOGIA, a journal devoted exclusively to scientific work. The journal accepts original contributions by Portuguese and international authors in psychology and the behavioral sciences. Its website provides information about the journal, manuscript submissions and calls for papers, as well as access to its complete digital collection.
