About April Vollmer
April Vollmer is a renowned New York artist, author, and educator, specializing in mokuhanga, the traditional Japanese woodcut printmaking technique. In addition to woodcuts, Vollmer is skilled in drawing, collage, bookmaking, and digital prints. Her artistic journey has been published in prestigious journals like Science, Printmaking Today, and Contemporary Impressions.
Notably, she authored the book Japanese Woodblock Print Workshop, which was released by Watson-Guptill in 2015. Vollmer's woodcuts have been exhibited at renowned galleries worldwide, including the Metropolitan Museum Store, the Phillips Museum of Art, and the Steinhardt Conservatory Gallery.
