The Asia Pacific Urban Energy Association (APUEA) is a not-for-profit organisation serving as a cross-sectoral platform, supporting public and private sector collaboration on developing sustainable urban energy systems, and thereby support the development of livable and sustainable cities in the Asia Pacific region. APUEA act as an information hub to support city policymakers, program managers, and other stakeholders in design, development, and implementation of sustainable urban energy systems. APUEA is launched in response to requests by international agencies and professionals within the energy sector, supported by Asian Development Bank (ADB), Danish Board of District Heating (DBDH), Euroheat&Power (EHP) and International Institute for Energy Conservation (IIEC).

About Asia Pacific Urban Energy Association
The Asia Pacific Urban Energy Association (APUEA) is a dynamic initiative that aims to promote the development of sustainable urban energy systems in the Asia Pacific region. With the support of renowned organizations like the International Institute for Energy Conservation (IIEC), Euroheat & Power, the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and the UN Environment, APUEA convenes stakeholders from various sectors to advance sustainable urban energy. Recognizing the challenges faced by fast-growing urban areas, including access to energy services and a healthy environment, APUEA strives to provide up-to-date intelligence on market, technical, and financial aspects of urban energy.
By facilitating collaboration and sharing global and regional experiences and best practices, APUEA promotes market development for sustainable urban energy systems. With more than 50% of the region's population expected to live in cities by 2018, APUEA plays a crucial role in addressing the global challenge of climate change. The association believes that sustainable urbanization requires cross-sectoral efforts, and aims to engage and collaborate with a broad range of public and private sector stakeholders.
