Aquaria Schwimmschule

Aquaria Schwimmschule is a swimming school based at the Aquamarin leisure pool in Gaimersheim, Germany. It offers regular beginner and advanced swimming courses, generally for children aged five to ten. Each course consists of ten 50-minute lessons scheduled over three to four weeks, with instruction tailored to children’s differing levels of water confidence and experience.

Beginner lessons follow a structured progression, starting with water familiarisation and moving through diving, jumping, breathing, arm and leg movements, and coordinated swimming. The goal is for children to move independently across the water’s surface for a period without flotation aids. Children who arrive with strong water confidence may also have the opportunity to complete the Seepferdchen early-swimmer badge. A final skills assessment concludes the course, and continued swimming is encouraged to build on what children have learned.

The school is led by qualified pool operations specialists and swimming instructors Michael Dohnal and Glenn Bartsch, who also have first-aid training.
