Auckland Aquarium Association (AAA) is a community club for people interested in aquariums and aquatic life. It welcomes hobbyists with a wide range of interests, including aquascaping, freshwater and marine fish, axolotls, turtles, aquatic plants, reef tanks, and DIY aquariums and accessories. The association’s aim is to bring aquarists together in person to share knowledge, socialise, and swap fish, plants, and other aquarium-related items.
AAA meets at 7 pm on the second Thursday of each month, except January, at St Luke’s Methodist Church, 16 Greenslade Crescent, Northcote. People can attend a meeting to learn more about the club and connect with fellow enthusiasts. AAA also maintains an active Facebook Group with about 1,000 members and invites interested people to join its online community; it is also on Discord. The association is supported by aquarium-related businesses, and AAA members receive a 10% discount at participating stores. Through its regular meetings and online channels, AAA offers a welcoming place for aquarium enthusiasts to share their interests and stay connected.
