Shimane Aquarium, known as Aquas, is a marine park spanning across Hamada and Gotsu in Shimane Prefecture, located in the Shimane Prefectural Iwami Seaside Park. Covering approximately 14,000 square meters, this three-story concrete structure houses a total water volume of about 4,280 tons and nurtures around 400 species and 10,000 creatures. Operated by the public interest corporation, Shimane Aquarium offers exhibition, sales, and lending services for animals with a dedicated team led by Chairman Kazushi Shimada.
