Aquatek

Aquatek Limited is a New Zealand environmental monitoring and data collection specialist, established for more than 20 years and based in Tauranga. The company primarily serves the Bay of Plenty and surrounding areas, providing fieldwork and 24/7 monitoring and sample collection in marine and terrestrial environments. Its clients include councils, environmental consultants, developers, contractors, orchardists, marine operators and educational organisations.

Aquatek’s services cover water quality and compliance monitoring, stormwater, wastewater, groundwater and potable water sampling, as well as sediment and shellfish sampling. The team also undertakes bore and aquifer testing, water-level monitoring and continuous data logging in rivers, streams, lakes and groundwater bores. Equipment installation and operation, including autosamplers, are available.

For compliance monitoring, Aquatek can help identify consent requirements and sampling locations, coordinate laboratory analysis, collect and submit samples, report results and, with client approval, lodge them with the appropriate authority. Its boating services use a 6.5-metre vessel in Maritime New Zealand survey, with certified skippers, for inshore work, marine farm monitoring, asset inspections and project transport.
