About Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union
The Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union is the National Governing Body for various aquatic sports including swimming, diving, water polo, synchronized swimming, and open water swimming. Committed to creating a safe and positive environment for all stakeholders, they administer these sports in accordance with FINA rules and regulations. Their mission is to promote the culture of aquatic sports in Sri Lanka by providing opportunities for athletes and coaches of all backgrounds to participate and advance in their respective sports.
From age group level to the Olympic Team, their membership includes athletes, coaches, and volunteers. The Aquatic Sports Union is responsible for selecting and training teams for international competitions, including the Olympic Games. They aim to build the base, promote the sport, and achieve competitive success.
With 164 registered clubs and schools, 88 registered coaches, 3347 registered students, and 3112 registered athletes, they offer a wide range of benefits to their members.
