Aquatic Sport

Aquatic Sport is a French nonprofit association serving Le Mesnil-Saint-Denis and La Verrière, with activities based at the swimming pool in Le Mesnil-Saint-Denis. Operating during the sports season from September to June, it aims to make swimming and aquatic exercise accessible in a friendly, recreational setting rather than a competitive one. The association offers weekly swimming lessons for children aged 6 to 18, as well as adult swimming classes in small groups.

Adults who are already comfortable in the water can choose from swimming, long-distance swimming, fin swimming, aquagym, freediving with fins, and Run & Swim. Aquatic Sport also provides preparation for the swimming events of the BNSSA qualification. Its activities support physical wellbeing, enjoyment and social connection, and the association states that it rejects discrimination and respects members’ freedom of conscience.

Sessions are led by qualified lifeguard instructors and swimming-pool supervisors whose professional credentials are kept current. Aquatic Sport is governed by volunteer officers and provides information about enrolment, schedules, fees, evaluations and seasonal events through its website
