Friends of the Old Croton Aqueduct is a private, non profit volunteer organization formed to protect and preserve the Old Croton Aqueduct. The Friends work to raise public awareness of the Aqueduct and trail and to secure the resources that will enable this historic greenway to remain unspoiled in perpetuity.

About Old Croton Aqueduct
Old Croton Aqueduct is a private, non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to protecting and preserving the Old Croton Aqueduct in Westchester County and New York City. They are on a mission to raise public awareness of the Aqueduct and its historic trail, as well as secure the necessary resources to ensure its preservation for future generations. The organization offers a range of educational initiatives to inform the public about the Aqueduct and its significance.
They publish monthly eNews that includes historical items, updates on Aqueduct-related activities, and current events. Additionally, they sponsor talks, lead guided walks, and offer tours, including inside the Aqueduct tunnel in Ossining. Old Croton Aqueduct also advocates vigorously for the Aqueduct on various issues and has published award-winning map-guides to help visitors navigate the route.
They work with the New York State Office of Parks to install wayfinding signs and prioritize the restoration of the ecologic health of the trail. The Friends of the Old Croton Aqueduct organization is committed to preserving this historic greenway and welcomes volunteers, donations, and memberships to support their vital work
