The Associazione Nazionale per Aquileia APS is an association founded in 1928 to promote research and public understanding of the historical, archaeological and artistic heritage of Aquileia and the surrounding area. Based in Casa Bertoli in Aquileia, Italy, it brings together people interested in the city’s past and supports cultural activities that connect heritage with the wider community.
The association offers opportunities to take part in its work through membership and organises events such as exhibition visits, themed bicycle itineraries and screenings of historically themed films. Its activities also include research, outreach and publications related to Aquileia’s heritage. Members and visitors can explore a substantial library collection of more than 10,000 volumes, including Italian and international periodicals, which continues to grow.
Through its programmes and bibliographic resources, the association helps make the history and archaeology of Aquileia more accessible. It also shares information about its organisation, statutes, ethical code and finances. The association’s premises are open by appointment, and enquiries can be made by email.
