Arkansas Advocates

Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families (AACF) is a nonprofit advocacy organization that has worked since 1977 to advance public policies supporting children and families across Arkansas. Guided by a vision of equity for every child, AACF seeks to ensure that children can grow up in safe, stable homes, enjoy good health, receive an adequate education, and reach their full potential. Its work spans child welfare, early childhood, education, health, food security, family economic security, immigrant families, juvenile justice, democracy and voting rights, and tax and budget policy.

AACF represents children’s interests at the Arkansas State Capitol and in Washington, D.C. It gathers and analyzes data to inform policy, builds coalitions with diverse partners, and encourages public participation through action alerts, events, advocacy resources, and opportunities to contact decision-makers. The organization also publishes research, policy reports, annual reports, and data tools, including the Arkansas Fiscal Map and KIDS COUNT resources. AACF offers speaker requests and information for reporters, and supports its work through donations, newsletters, and community engagement.
