About Arahne
Arahne CAD/CAM is a renowned software company that specializes in developing CAD/CAM systems for weaving. Established in 1992 in Slovenia by two talented computer engineers, Dušan Peterc and Simon Weilguny, the company was born out of their frustration with the lack of practical applications in academic and research institutions. Slovenia's newly gained independence opened doors for them to start their own business.
Initially, their aim was to create an image database of fabric designs, but as they engaged with the local textile industry, they quickly realized the need for basic CAD tools. Arahne's products evolved based on the feedback and requirements of their customers, primarily weaving mills. With installations in factories since 1993, Arahne gained international recognition early on.
Today, their software is available in 12 languages and supports over 40 different file formats. Arahne's commitment to innovation and partnership with its customers has propelled its success in the highly competitive textile industry
