ARASS, the Association for the Delivery of Specialized Social Initiatives, is a nonprofit organization founded in 1985 through the commitment of child-protection professionals and volunteers. Based in Brittany, France, it works with children, young people and families, developing social and medico-social services in response to changing needs. Its activities span child protection, disability support, prevention, poverty and social inclusion.
Through its establishments and programs, ARASS supports young people entrusted to the care of France’s Child Welfare services, as well as children and young people with developmental difficulties who need therapeutic support. Its teams consider each person’s needs, experiences and individuality, offering comprehensive, personalized assistance. This can include protection, care, support for development and help building independence, provided within a secure, stimulating and supportive environment.
Over time, the association has expanded its network, shared practices and developed new approaches to make its support more responsive. ARASS also works with partners and invites public support to sustain existing projects and develop new ones.
