The Arbeitgeberverband is the leading voice for employers in Switzerland in the fields of business, politics, and public opinion. As a prominent advocate for employers, they play a crucial role in creating optimal conditions for businesses in Switzerland and promoting a liberal and socially oriented market economy. The organization represents over 100,000 small, medium, and large companies, employing almost 2 million workers across all sectors of the economy.

The Arbeitgeberverband is comprised of approximately 90 regional and industry-specific employer associations, as well as several individual companies. The organization's highest decision-making body is the General Assembly, which determines the association's policies, approves the annual financial statements and report, and elects the board members. The board, consisting of representatives from affiliated industry and regional associations, sets the guidelines for the association's policies and appoints the executive committee.

The executive committee manages the association within the framework of the statutes and guidelines established by the board.
