About Arber Radmarathon
Arber Radmarathon is an annual cycling event organized by VCR-Regensburg e. V., offering routes for road cyclists, mountain bikers, gravel riders, families, and e-bike users. Its 43rd edition is scheduled for 25 July 2027, with registration expected to open later.
The event features a range of rides through the scenic Bavarian Forest, the Arber region, and the area around Regensburg. Road options include distances from 100 to 250 kilometres, with the longest route climbing 3,750 metres, while the 56-kilometre family ride is flat and includes a refreshment stop. Mountain-bike routes span 46 to 90 kilometres, combining forest and meadow paths, with some courses featuring substantial trail sections.
Gravel riders can choose 65- or 95-kilometre routes across cycle paths, quiet roads, gravel, and woodland tracks; these are navigated using GPX files rather than marked signs. The event also offers a 56-kilometre retro ride from Regensburg, celebrating historic bicycles and outfits.
