About Arc DC
The Arc of DC is a community-based non-profit organization that advocates for and protects the rights of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Their mission is to ensure the full inclusion and active participation of people with disabilities in society. The Arc of DC offers a wide range of programs and support services for individuals with I/DD, including those diagnosed with autism, Down syndrome, Fragile X, and over 100 other developmental disabilities.
They are the only non-profit organization in the DC area dedicated to serving individuals with I/DD throughout their lifetime and across all diagnoses. As part of The Arc's nationwide network of up to 600 local chapters, The Arc of DC has the backing and resources to make a significant impact in the community.
