Archaeokontor

Archaeokontor, founded by archaeologist and cultural historian Andrea Schaer, provides expertise in archaeology, historic buildings, cultural heritage management and cultural history. The company helps clients understand and make lasting, meaningful use of archaeological sites, historic monuments, landscapes and traditions, connecting their historical significance with the needs of contemporary communities and projects.

Its services include support for heritage planning and high-quality building culture, archaeological fieldwork such as surveys, excavations and building investigations, and research, analysis and publication projects. Archaeokontor also develops concepts for interpreting and presenting cultural heritage, and supports the design and delivery of public engagement and communications initiatives. Through lectures and presentations, Schaer makes cultural and historical subjects accessible to wider audiences. The company additionally advises on tourism and marketing, helping organisations develop heritage-based concepts and products. A particular area of expertise is thermal baths and healing springs, where historical traditions can inform modern visitor experiences and services. Archaeokontor works across the meeting points of science, culture and society, bringing specialist knowledge to projects that seek to strengthen the value and visibility of cultural heritage.
