About L'Arche en France
L'Arche, created in France in 1964, is an association that welcomes people with intellectual disabilities in shared living spaces. L'Arche is a network of communities where adults with intellectual disabilities and those who support them, whether employees or volunteers, live and work together. In these communities, which are also part of the medico-social sector, friendships are formed between people of different backgrounds, status, and religions. It is a daily experience of fraternity.
L'Arche aims to highlight the gifts of disabled individuals and help them find their rightful place in society by making their full contribution. Founded in 1964, L'Arche is now present in nearly 40 countries with over 150 communities, including 36 in France. Learn more about us at L'Arche
