The Institute of Material Culture History of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IIMK RAN) is the direct descendant of Russia's oldest archaeological institution, the Imperial Archaeological Commission, established in St. Petersburg in 1859. This esteemed institute facilitates a broad range of archaeological research, focusing on various ancient cultures and civilizations across Eurasia. IIMK RAN offers invaluable services, including conducting extensive archaeological fieldwork and publishing notable scientific periodicals such as "Archaeological News" and "Proceedings of IIMK RAN."
