The Compagnie des Archers de la Trémoïlle is an archery club based in Thouars, with a history dating back to 1975. It welcomes children from age eight and adults, offering opportunities to practise for leisure, with family, or in competition. The club presents archery as an accessible sport for all ages and abilities, with activities designed to support skill development, concentration, confidence, coordination, and self-control. During the introductory period, members can use club-provided bows and arrows, with equipment selected to suit each archer. Training starts at short distances and can progress as skills improve, supported by assessments such as Pass’Arc, Plumes, and Flèches.

Members can explore indoor and outdoor archery, including nature-course disciplines, individual and team formats, and run archery, which combines running with shooting. The club offers training and competition opportunities throughout the year, with outdoor practice in warmer months and indoor sessions in autumn and winter. Its activities are supported by coaches, referees, volunteers, and club facilities, with an emphasis on safety, fair play, respect, tolerance, and sharing.
