About ARCHES H2
ARCHES (Alliance for Renewable Clean Hydrogen Energy Systems) is a public-private consortium in California that is dedicated to accelerating the development and implementation of clean, renewable hydrogen (H2) projects and infrastructure. Their goal is to supplement renewable energy sources with clean H2 to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and advance towards a zero-carbon economy. As part of a nationwide initiative, the US Department of Energy plans to invest $8 billion to establish up to 10 regional H2 hubs that will foster self-sustaining H2 economies encompassing producers, infrastructure, and users.
To achieve this, ARCHES works in collaboration with the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) and brings together key players from both the public and private sectors.
