Archi’s Institute for Sustainable Agriculture (AiSA) is a workforce training program preparing students for careers in sustainable agriculture and agribusiness. Founded in 2007, the institute has graduated more than 850 students, including veterans pursuing new careers in farming, food production, and agriculture-related businesses. Its structured programs combine practical agricultural skills with business and career training, helping students learn how to grow food and operate a sustainable enterprise.
Course topics include hydroponic and organic growing systems, irrigation and resource management, soil and plant science, and agribusiness fundamentals. Students can choose in-person training in Escondido, California, or online day and evening classes; online learners may also attend optional hands-on farm labs. The program offers 16 semester credits through the University of Minnesota Crookston, along with opportunities to earn Hydroponicist and ServSafe certifications. AiSA also provides industry resources and guidance for students planning their next steps in agriculture. The program is approved for GI Bill and SkillBridge funding, according to the institute’s website, and welcomes students with no prerequisites.
