Architecture en Champagne is a unique educational initiative that was established in 2017. The project involves the creation of 28 lodges by students in the heart of the Champagne vineyards. Over 12 days, students design and construct these micro-architectural structures in accordance with the guidelines provided by local winemakers. The lodges are built using reclaimed materials supplied by the vineyards and are a collective effort led by architects, Compagnons du Devoir, and construction professionals.
This project, organized by Châlons Agglo in partnership with the Maison de l'Architecture de Champagne-Ardenne, offers valuable learning and professional development opportunities for participants. It also aims to showcase the beauty of the Champagne landscapes in an environmentally conscious manner. The 2024 edition focuses on creating lodges that serve as both shelter and a space for contemplation, blending seamlessly with the vineyard scenery. Architecture en Champagne not only fosters youth involvement but also supports the local community. Join us in this visionary project for a sustainable future.
