Archive Gallery NYC is a contemporary gallery that brings archival collections into new contexts through original projects. In partnership with the OG Collection, it presents Illuminated Archival Lightboards made from photographs in the Bob Guccione archive. Each lightboard incorporates original 35mm slides, transforming unpublished material into a distinctive illuminated display and a piece of cultural history.
Handmade to order in Brooklyn, New York, standard lightboards measure 24 × 36.5 × 3 inches and contain 160 original slides. Customization is available for the frame, size, composition, cord, dimmer, and mounting. Compositions may be curated by Archive Gallery or developed collaboratively with clients, drawing on a collection of more than 100,000 original slides. Frame options include aluminum, brass, and wood, and each lightboard features museum glass. Every piece is backed by a lifetime warranty.
Archive Gallery welcomes visitors to its 33 Crosby Street location in New York by appointment, offering a chance to view the work and discuss a custom commission.
