ARCHIVE MAITU

ARCHIVE MAITU is a Berlin-based collection and editorial platform focused on design, architecture, and the histories behind objects. Its catalogue brings together designer objects and vintage finds, including selected chairs and vintage metal pieces. Alongside the collection, the brand publishes stories and research that explore architecture and interiors, furniture design, notable places, and the people and ideas that shaped them. Features include visits to historic buildings and personal accounts of discovering influential design.

The MAITU Library offers second-hand books on design and architectural history. Each book is presented with a handmade cover crafted from Japanese Satogami paper, with a hand-printed title and brown rope bookmark. The library reflects the brand’s interest in both celebrated movements and lesser-known experiments, mistakes, and makers.

ARCHIVE MAITU also presents selected works through events and collaborations, including a showcase at Stallmann Galleries in Berlin. Through its objects, books, and editorial work, the brand connects collecting with thoughtful exploration of design history and its continuing influence. It shares new acquisitions, research, and stories with its audience.
