ARCH, or Accompanying Returning Citizens With Hope, is an organization dedicated to helping people returning from incarceration reintegrate into their communities on their own terms. Its mission is to elevate lived experience and support justice-impacted people in helping professions, while strengthening reentry systems and community well-being.
ARCH connects returning citizens with local resources and practical support, including basic necessities, identification documents, employment assistance, and pathways to mental health or substance use support. ARCH also offers transitional housing for people in its workforce programs while helping them pursue stable, affordable housing and employment.
Through community education and outreach, the organization works with businesses and faith communities to reduce stigma and shares personal stories through The Brown Couch with Vanita Nevis. Its advocacy initiatives equip justice-impacted leaders and allies to advance reentry and criminal justice reforms.
