About ARC Hub for Therapeutics
The ARC Hub for Therapeutics is an Irish research hub based in Dublin that helps move early-stage biomedical discoveries from universities towards therapeutic development and commercial success. Co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the ERDF Southern, Eastern & Midland Regional Programme 2021–2027, the hub connects academic researchers with industry experts, investors and other partners. Its work spans neuroscience, bleeding disorders, immunology, inflammation and infection, cardiovascular and metabolic disease, cancer and other areas of medicine.
The hub supports collaborative projects that aim to turn research into potential treatments. Examples include developing vaccines against antimicrobial-resistant bacteria, improving antifungal therapies and advancing a patented small-molecule therapy for lung cancer. Through its partnerships, ARC offers industry and investors early insight into emerging science and access to an innovation network and research infrastructure. It also shares developments through news, events and training initiatives, helping strengthen connections across Ireland’s research and innovation ecosystem. Its overall focus is accelerating the translation of biomedical research into therapies with real-world potential.
