The Arc of Amador & Calaveras

The Arc of Amador and Calaveras is a community organization that has served people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Amador and Calaveras Counties since 1971. Its work includes supported employment, helping individuals seek and maintain jobs in their communities. A grant from Ability Central supports this program and its efforts to expand access and remove barriers to employment.

The organization operates administrative offices and campuses in both counties, along with a dedicated Supported Employment contact. Its website shares information about programs and services, employment opportunities, events, news, member resources, and ways to give. The Arc also invites community members to donate gently used or unneeded art and craft materials for people it serves. Requested items include pottery and woodworking tools, jewelry and watch pieces, and quilting supplies.

Through its local presence, employment support, and community giving initiatives, The Arc connects people with developmental disabilities to resources and opportunities. It also offers information about estate planning, remote learning, and other organizational activities through its online channels.
