ARCOS Network is a conservation organization that brings together local communities, practitioners, and partners to protect biodiversity and support a future in which people and nature thrive. Its work focuses on the Albertine Rift, while collaboration also enables action beyond the region. ARCOS builds networks and alliances, strengthens stakeholder capacity through training and information sharing, and supports practical conservation and development initiatives on the ground.

Its programmes include landscape restoration, sustainable livelihoods, biodiversity data management through the ARCOS Biodiversity Information System (ARBIMS), and environmental education through the Eco-Schools Programme. Restoration projects combine tree planting with measures such as terrace establishment. In western Rwanda, the MuLaKiLa project aims to restore 22,266 hectares of degraded agricultural land and improve livelihoods for 40,000 smallholder farming households. ARCOS also supports green community businesses through the ARCOS Community Fund and small enterprises, and shares conservation knowledge through publications, news, and stories. The organization invites people and partners to take part in its work, including by supporting tree planting and community-led conservation.
