Launched in 2022, the Association’s purpose is to promote operational excellence within the bulk and container sector of the International Maritime Industry with regards to key areas of concern and improvement areas (relating to ships, terminals and port interfaces). Vision: Facilitate an industry wide operating environment that causes no harm to people or the environment. Mission: Promote safe and operationally good practices within the Bulk Resources and Containers sector through industry wide collaboration.

About Association of Resource Companies
ARCSOPT is an association dedicated to promoting safety and operational excellence within the bulk and container sector of the International Maritime Industry. With a standardized and consistent approach, ARCSOPT aims to address common industry issues and develop technical and operating guidelines. They also propose programs that enhance industry risk management outcomes and coordinate unified positions to Class Societies, Flag States, and the IMO.
Stakeholder collaboration is a key focus for ARCSOPT, offering opportunities for members to collaborate, learn, and promote safe practices across all industry sectors. They also prioritize the development of technical and operational standards in areas such as future ship design, periodic refitting, mooring line and equipment standards, and ship operations safety philosophies.
