About Asian Roots Collective
Asian Roots Collective (ARC), formerly known as CCYAA, is a community organization based in Markham, Ontario. It creates spaces where people can find familiarity, belonging, and connection while celebrating Asian culture and excellence across sports, arts, food, entertainment, and more. ARC welcomes people who identify as Asian, as well as friends and allies, to explore its programs and events, share experiences, and discover and embrace Asian culture.
ARC’s offerings bring together community activities, learning, and cultural experiences. Programs listed on its site include the Jeremy Lin Basketball School, drop-in volleyball, and Coding Melons. Its events include ARC WORLD and NACBAIT, while its online shop features items such as OG Boba, Boba Raptor, Boba Raptor Matcha, Enter the Raptor – Bruce Lee, Boba Grizzlies, and Lucky Cat. The organization also shares media coverage and press releases and invites people to work with it. Through these programs, events, and products, ARC supports community-building and creates opportunities to celebrate Asian identity and achievement.
