Amateur Radio Digital Communications (ARDC) is a California-based foundation rooted in the world of amateur radio and internet communication technology. Our mission is to support and enhance digital communication, as well as broader communication science and technology. We are dedicated to promoting amateur radio, scientific research, experimentation, education, development, open access, and innovation in information and communication technology.

At ARDC, we manage 44Net, a network that provides licensed amateur radio operators worldwide with a class A 44/8 netblock of 16. 7 million IP addresses. This unique network is used by radio amateurs to set up radio-based networks using various technologies like packet radio and Wi-Fi.

As part of our commitment to advancing amateur radio and digital communication science, we have established a grant program. We provide grants to projects and organizations that experiment with new ways to advance these fields.
