Ard Chúram

Ard Chúram Day Care Centre is a community-based service for older people in Greenville, Listowel, County Kerry. Its mission is to enhance older people’s lives through high-quality, person-centred day care and dementia services that support independence, well-being and social connection. The centre provides care in a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, with programmes designed around clients’ individual needs and preferences.

Its services include a Stroke Day Service, a Dementia Centre, the Ard Chúram Fuchsia Centre and activities programmes. The centre also offers meals and catering, a choir and other social and recreational activities. Its day care is non-residential and supports health, nutrition, social interaction and daily living, while giving family caregivers time to take a break.

Ard Chúram works with families, volunteers, funders and healthcare partners, guided by values of respect, empathy, quality, integrity, inclusion and community. The organisation aims to help older people feel valued and supported, and to live well with dignity
