AR Drawing is a free browser-based tool that helps people trace and sketch pictures onto paper using a smartphone camera. Designed for beginners and experienced artists alike, it overlays a reference image on the phone screen so users can follow the lines with a pencil on paper. The service runs in a mobile browser, requires no app download or registration, and works on modern iOS and Android smartphones with a camera and browser.

Users can choose an outline from the template gallery or upload their own reference image, position their phone above the paper on a transparent stand, and adjust the overlay’s opacity while drawing. The site also offers a Coloring Studio, sketching and tracing modes, and step-by-step drawing tutorials covering subjects such as fish, anime characters, ladybugs, and swords. Its core camera tracing tools and templates are presented as free to use. AR Drawing aims to make drawing more approachable by guiding each stroke and helping users build confidence and muscle memory through practice.
