Arena Elvenes is a former military camp in Salangen, Norway, now operated by Astafjord Utvikling AS as a venue for civilian and military activities. The site supports aviation and related uses, including air sports, drone training, helicopter landings and small-aircraft operations at Salangen Airport. It also hosts activities and training, with examples including an activity day for students from Sjøvegan Upper Secondary School. Cooperation between civilian users and military organizations is central to the arena’s role, and renting facilities to the Norwegian Armed Forces and allied units is a significant part of its activity.
Arena Elvenes also provides seasonal winter storage, with registration and practical requirements communicated to customers ahead of each season. The website lists mini-storage and accommodation among its offerings, alongside airport information, a gallery and contact details. With its former military facilities adapted for varied present-day uses, Arena Elvenes brings together aviation, storage, training and accommodation in one location.
