Welcome to Arena Theater in Point Arena, California! Established in 1928, our theater is a vintage vaudeville venue and film palace that underwent a restoration in 1996 to become an Art Deco-style, state-of-the-art entertainment destination. With the support of local artisans and financial donations, we have transformed into a thriving community hub. As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, the Arena Theater Association is dedicated to showcasing live performances and artists on our stage.
Situated in downtown Point Arena, the theater operates every day of the year and houses the Arena Cinema, where we showcase first-run movies. Support from our community is crucial. By becoming a member or making a financial donation, you contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the theater, as well as performance underwriting.
Memberships start at $30 per year and come with various benefits, including discounts on live shows. We also rely on volunteers and apprentices to help with artwork, advertising, maintenance, ticket-taking, ushering, and engineering for sound and light. If you're interested in getting involved, please reach out to us.
In addition to our regular programming, we offer the Arena Theater for rentals and private events. Whether it's a special celebration or corporate gathering, our versatile space can accommodate your needs. Come and experience the rich history and exceptional entertainment at Arena Theater.
Rebuilt in 1997, our theater features 177 comfortable, fully upholstered seats with armrests, expandable dance floor space, and state-of-the-art media capabilities. We strive to provide a top-notch, not-for-profit venue for the enjoyment of our community and beyond. Located at 214 Main Street, you can reach us at our show schedule number, 707.
