AREP

AREP is an association that supports and serves retired people from EDP, bringing together members across Portugal through regional delegations and community initiatives. Its work focuses on wellbeing, social support, health, culture and connection, with services and benefits designed for members and their families.

Support includes assistance with care at home and residential care costs, home medical visits, teleassistance, medical transport and help with essential purchases through a shopping card. Members can also access general medical support, rehabilitation therapies, psychological care, health promotion, dental services, glasses and lenses, pharmacies, medical equipment, and complementary medicine. AREP offers guidance on social, legal, tax and Sãvida matters, as well as family support and services such as day centres.

For learning and leisure, the association promotes senior universities, arts and creative writing, trips, cultural visits, hotels, fitness and social activities. Commercial protocols provide member benefits in areas including telecommunications, insurance and household equipment. AREP also shares news and organises events that foster friendship, volunteering and a sense of belonging among retirees, workers and their communities.
