Åre Skidfabrik is a Swedish ski manufacturer based in Åre, where it has produced skis and snowboards since 1981. Described as Scandinavia’s only alpine ski factory, the company brings together traditional craftsmanship and advanced manufacturing to make products focused on quality and performance. It produces skis for its award-winning brand, Extrem Skis, and develops and manufactures models for several leading international brands. Through its Custom Made concept, Åre Skidfabrik also offers personalized skis with unique, custom-designed graphics.

The factory has invested in modern production facilities and machinery, as well as an energy-efficient heating system. The company describes its facility as one of the world’s most modern and sustainable ski manufacturing sites. Sustainability is part of its approach to production: all manufacturing is powered by 100% renewable electricity generated by local hydropower through Jämtkraft.
