Areté Rising

Areté Rising is a nonprofit social enterprise focused on expanding economic opportunity for young adults, particularly students from under-resourced backgrounds. Founded in 2022, the organization works to improve access to curated information, higher education, and personalized career guidance. Its mission is to help young people pursue educational and career pathways that allow them to realize their potential and achieve excellence.

Areté Rising offers three programs: LOC Scholars, an undergraduate scholarship program for high-achieving, middle-income students; altPath, a free online tool that helps users explore education and career pathways; and altAid, which provides hardship grants to young people enrolled in post-secondary training. Together, these programs combine financial support, technology, and guidance to help participants navigate decisions about education and work.

The organization describes its approach as supporting young people throughout their educational and career journeys.
