Argus Golden Retrievers is a breeding program founded by Laura Finco, focused on Golden Retrievers as capable working dogs and loyal family companions. Its history includes show dog and obedience competitor Shalimar’s Top of the Mark, known as Arsey, and a longstanding tradition of training guide dog puppies. Laura brings lifelong dog-training experience and participates in agility, obedience, and conformation. She is also an AKC agility judge and an advocate for responsible dog ownership. April Ronca Finco contributes to the dogs’ care and is learning to groom Golden Retrievers for the show ring.

Argus offers Golden Retriever puppies and seeks homes that share its family-centered approach. Its breeding philosophy prioritizes healthy, lifelong companions, gentle temperaments, and genetic testing of breeding parents. The kennel emphasizes that Golden Retrievers are a working breed and need exercise and quality time with their families. Prospective owners are encouraged to learn about responsible breeding and to request AKC papers. Argus Golden Retrievers is recognized as an American Kennel Club Breeder of Merit.
