ARIANE-Epilepsie

A.R.I.A.N.E.-Epilepsie is a regional association in France’s Pays de la Loire, dedicated to helping and supporting people living with epilepsy and their families and caregivers. Its name reflects its mission to welcome, connect, inform, educate, and promote a new understanding of epilepsy. The association is governed under France’s 1901 law, approved by the Regional Health Agency of Pays de la Loire, and affiliated with national epilepsy and disability organizations.

A.R.I.A.N.E.-Epilepsie offers confidential listening, information, and peer support through regular drop-in sessions in Nantes and Angers. It also organizes psychologist-facilitated support groups and free public discussion events with healthcare professionals, including neurologists and psychologists. Its educational resources cover epilepsy, treatment, seizures and first aid, school, work, sport, and common misconceptions. Members and supporters can access practical documents, treatment self-assessment materials, videos, quizzes, and the association’s newsletter, published three times a year. The organization also provides training and information sessions for schools, employers, community groups, and care organizations, helping improve awareness and support for people affected by epilepsy.
