Arid Recovery

Arid Recovery is a passionate brand dedicated to seeing threatened species thrive across the Australian outback. As an independent not-for-profit organization, they run a 123 km2 wildlife reserve in South Australia's arid north. Arid Recovery pioneers conservation science to help protect and restore the habitats of threatened species.

Their core focus includes conservation, research, and education. In terms of conservation, Arid Recovery aims to lead the sustainable restoration of arid ecosystems. Through their research endeavors, they are saving species and implementing science-based solutions.

They also inspire passion and develop skills in arid zone conservation through their educational initiatives. A significant part of Arid Recovery's work involves the implementation of a feral-proof fence reserve layout, controlling feral predators like cats and foxes to protect the native wildlife. They have various species under their care, including the Kowari, Greater Bilby, Burrowing Bettong, Shark Bay Bandicoot, and Western Quoll, among others.

To support their mission, Arid Recovery offers opportunities for the public to donate, adopt, intern, volunteer, and join their campaigns. They also have merchandise available. Additionally, Arid Recovery welcomes visitors, offering tours, education visits, and hosting events.

Since its inception in 1997, Arid Recovery has been committed to ecosystem restoration and research in collaboration with government departments, universities, and community members. Together, they strive to create a sustainable future for Australia's unique wildlife
