Diving Stage Ariel is a PADI dive shop based in Sendai, Japan, with more than 30 years of experience guiding divers in the waters around Onagawa, its home diving area. The brand introduces visitors to the distinctive underwater scenery of Sanriku, including natural sea squirt beds and opportunities to explore aquaculture sites. Divers may also encounter the popular dumpling squid and the charming sailfin poacher, which the shop says can be observed throughout the year.

Ariel offers programs for people starting out, including PADI Open Water Diver training and introductory dives, as well as courses for advancing skills, from Advanced Open Water and specialty training to rescue, emergency first response, and professional-level development. The shop also organizes diving trips in Japan and overseas, with support for beginners, experienced divers, and those returning after a break. Small-group guidance and transportation between Sendai and dive locations help make outings more accessible, including for visitors without a car. Ariel shares tour schedules, local sea information, events, and updates through its website and blog.
