About Arise Family
Arise Family believes that every child, created by God, deserves to be part of a thriving family. They offer professionally taught and facilitated therapeutic and support groups for both children and adults. Their mission is to provide holistic support to existing families by offering family strengthening interventions.
They believe that stronger families are the foundation for a stronger society. Arise also promotes the creation of new families through adoption conferences and support programs. They are dedicated to developing and training professionals and community workers in their unique programs to ensure greater impact nationwide.
Arise aims to ensure high-quality evidence-based services for all families and build resilience in families to overcome adversity. They strongly advocate for children who have no families and collaborate with other organizations and financial partners to see children placed in thriving families. Arise was established in 2007 and has grown from a homeless ministry to a Family Centre Model.
They believe in the power of family engagement and use strength-based and resilience-building interventions to develop bonds between children and their caregivers. With a team of psychologists, social workers, counselors, and volunteers, Arise delivers high-quality, evidence-based interventions at low or no cost through financial partnerships. They focus on addressing common issues such as abuse, neglect, addiction, depression, anxiety, and trauma in resource-poor communities.
Arise is based in Cape Town but works nationwide to promote adoption and foster care psychosocial education workshops and conferences. They collaborate with community organizations to provide a holistic service to families in need
